It must be in the “junk drawer”.
I hope we aren’t the only ones who have a mysterious drawer that begs us to put in any item that has no other place to call home.
So, since my daughters were happily amusing themselves in the back yard, I decided to take it on.I dug around in there, I suppose for quite sometime, because I actually forgot about the hole puncher.
I found an assortment of odd relics like pizza coupons from 2007, phone numbers of people we have seen since the dawn of this millennia,Mismatched small drawer knobs, about 50 markers, pens, and pencils (where’s a pen? Now I know.), unused camera film (what is camera film? I know my daughter would ask.), post-it notes, packets of seeds, and numerous keys (to unlock what? I do not know).I unearthed unknown small plastic “whatcha-ma-callits”, business cards, magnets, 20 juice box straws, 3 rulers, 2 tape measures, masking tape, scotch tape, some coins, a sunflower seed, and dust.I found our black kitchen scissors that have been missing since last year (I’ve been using my daughters’ craft scissors, don’t’ tell anyone!).
Thankfully, I did find the hole puncher, yeah!
So, why I am I sharing this highly interesting information with you?
Well, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart while I was doing this task…
What am I storing in my heart?
”Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD,My strength and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14
“for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” -the LORD (1 Sam. 16:7)
The Holy Trinity abides within our hearts when we are saved.
Jesus says, “We will come to (you), and make Our home with (you). John 14:23
Is our heart a reflection of the Holy of Holies or is it more like a cluttered drawer?
Jesus wants to be Lord of all of you, not just the outside.
Remember Jesus comes to us and invites us to “open to” him, not to be shamed, but to be loved and redeemed! Rev. 3:20, Song of Solomon 5:2
He is very willing and knows just how to give our hearts a fresh start, amen!
{this was passed onto us by Andrea's from a dear friend hers - thanks Andrea for sharing!}

I love this picture of the "old" junk that's in my "junk drawer." It makes me want to sort through my heart to examine it and make sure I still need it. Thanks for posting this.
