Epiphany!

Well, I can't walk away from a Beth Moore live simulcast and not have something to say about it. The Lord was so very present. He spoke through her in a way that made sense to me today, Saturday, September 18th, 2010. Thank you Jesus!
The message was about the "law of kindness"(NKJV) from Proverbs 31:26. One of the points Beth made, came from Titus 3:4-"when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us." What I learned today has opened my eyes to a whole new way of looking at how and why Christ came to this earth. The Greek translation for appeared is "Ephiphaino" which means "to show to or upon, to bring to light, become visible, to show oneself." It's where the word "epiphany" comes from. Jesus came as the epiphany of God, wrapped in human flesh. He came for you and for me. "He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy"v.5.
What a new and fresh way of looking at the word epiphany! I just love that word. I am so grateful for what my Savior has done for me.
Thank you Jesus for loving us so much, that you came to this earth, and died on the cross for our sins. You and You alone are mighty to save. Hallelujah and Amen!
