After working in one of the preschool classes during Sunday School, I am so reminded of what Jesus tells us about childlike faith. I put a video in of songs for the children to enjoy. There was a little girl, who stood up and danced and sang along with every song that played. She was singing words like "You are the Everlasting God", "I Will Not Be Afraid", "This Little Light of Mine, I'm Gonna Let it Shine". As I sat back and watched her dance and sing with such great joy and confidence, I was truly moved. She did not care what was going on around her. There were 6 other children and 2 adults in the room. Did she once stop and look around and think, "what's everybody going to think about me dancing and singing?" No, she did not! What a gift I received because of that child!
I have been so blessed with the gift of helping in developing the blog and facebook page in order to reach out to you, the women of Christ Covenant. I have often wondered, "Lord, what are we suppose to do"? "How do we use this blog and facebook page to best glorify You"? I have had the tendency to get caught in the "trap", I call it, of worry, anxiousness, and fear of the unknown. It is all with the greatest desire to serve Him.
In Matthew 11: 25-26, Jesus prayed
"I praise you Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, father, for this was your good pleasure."
What a reminder, is it not? Does that mean we must remain like children? Should I dance and sing to my Father, just as that little girl taught me, even in the midst of my fears? I am guessing that is what Jesus is telling me to do.
"Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs" Psalm 100: 2
I say "thank you" to the sweet little child who showed me, with such joy in her heart, how to do just that!
