The Garden of my Life

2In that day—“Sing about a fruitful vineyard:
3I, the Lord, watch over it;
I water it continually.
I guard it day and night
so that no one may harm it.
4I am not angry.
If only there were briers and thorns confronting me!
I would march against them in battle;
I would set them all on fire.
5Or else let them come to me for refuge;
let them make peace with me,
yes, let them make peace with me.”
6In days to come Jacob will take root,
Israel will bud and blossom
and fill all the world with fruit
Isaiah 27:2-5

These verses talk about how a vineyard is restored by God and how He will protect and care for the vineyard, His people. It will no long produce worthless fruit but will produce enough good fruit for the whole world, speaking of how Gentiles will come to know God through God's covenant people Israel. I am so glad God sought me too. That He saw the ruin of my vineyard/life and is now tending it and helping me produce good fruit.

With the weather so warm, these other verses in Isaiah 58:11 come alive:
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
How wonderful to know see again the analogy of the garden/vineyard in the context of our present day summer and gardens. May He satisfy your needs and strengthen you this day indeed!
