Sarah reminded me of an analogy of our husbands entering a metaphorical boxing ring each day. It is our privilege to pray for our husbands or fathers or brothers or sons as they enter the fray. Our prayers can offer protection as they enter the ring and acts of kindness when they return from a "bout" can bless them with renewal and restoration. Let it be said of us, “She does him good . . .” (Proverbs 31:12a)
"Bless your husband by praying for him! The Apostle Paul instructed all Christians to pray for one another (Ephesians 6:18). This includes wives’ responsibility and privilege to pray for their husbands. Earnest prayer for your husband is good for him, for you and the spiritual health of your home (Proverbs 31:11-12).
Satan desires to destroy your husband, especially his character and his leadership in your relationship. Trust God through prayer as you daily surrender your husband and marriage to the Lord’s wise, loving care."
Day 1
Pray that your husband will grow spiritually and consider his accountability before the Lord.
Pray that he will guard his heart by developing spiritual disciplines—Bible reading and study, prayer, meditation, scripture memorization, etc.
(2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.; Prov. 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.)

What a wonderful idea to pray for 31 days for our husbands! I appreciated the prompting and prayed just as you suggested. How can our husbands lead effectively when they're not taking enough time in the Word and prayer and are being beaten up by the world? They need our prayers to not only be blessed themselves, but so they can continue to bless us and our children as well.
