rest

9There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. 11Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.
I am sure there are many that can attest to the need for rest.  Dealing with a sick baby has pushed me to need rest in a visceral way  - not just a chilling out or quick nap, but real restorative rest.  Unfortunately I fail to obey my Father at times.  I let myself get too tired, push too long, become trapped in a sense of the relentlessness of my obligations...He knows what He is talking about.  We need to rest. A day's worth.  Weekly!

So enjoy your Sabbath rest...keep it holy.  Leave the laundry, don't run to get milk (the kids will be fine!), take a nap, read that book, snuggle that puppy, tickle that child, go to church, enjoy the fellowship of a Sunday School class, nurish your body, feed your soul.

Rest.
