The Gift of God – Eph.2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--
and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--
In the busy build up to the season of Christmas, thoughts go to buying gifts for loved ones, to making special meals, to decorating homes…. It takes a minute or two to realize that the original Gift in this season came by grace… free! Given by a Father who loves us unconditionally and fulfilled by His Son Jesus, to set us free from all and anything that keeps us from absorbing the riches of this grace… this is the salvation we find in this season. This is the opportunity to take hold of God’s Gift to us.
Prayer: Father, with grateful hearts we stop for a minute to say thank You for sending Your Son into the world, to save and restore those who reach out and receive.
