morning moment #9

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”  Matthew 4:4

Jesus knew about hunger and being alone, about temptation and being tested.  As we start each day with Him who knows these things, we can know His strengthening.

Prayer:  You used Scripture to defeat Your enemy, Lord Jesus… we do the same if we are wise!  As early as the breakfast table and the bread we eat, let us remember Your word and take courage from the truths in it and Your example to us daily.
